The jamming criterion is that the friction force generated by a force parallel to the motion exceeds this force.
In general, jamming occurs when the ratio of the lever of applied force (parallel to the guides), to the distance between the linear bearings located on the same guide is equal to one friction coefficient X2.
If this ratio is equal to one, then the applied force will be equal to the normal reaction in each of the bearings.
Thus, with a friction coefficient of 0.5 in linear bearings, jamming will occur when the ratio of the arms is equal to 0.5X2=1
